GOLFING WITH MY GIRLS

When i was a kid , some of the best moments of my life were spent with my parents especially my dad . He didn't always have time to do the things my brother and i really enjoyed like "hunting and fishing" but when he did , it was some of the best hours of my childhood, i can still remember the waves of dry leaf's crunching beneath our feet as we tread through them trying to reach a favorite fishing spot and once we got there It didn't matter what happened as I'd cast my bait time and time again catching only weeds this day was already special .... And so it has been with this in mind that I've tried to spend quality time with my children ,fishing , trips to the library, baseball and of course golfing not forcing it on them but allowing them to be a part of my golfing adventure . They want to play with me more and more now what started as curiosity three years ago has turned into a zeal. ON last Friday we took a trip to Executive south family golf center a great beginners course and perfect for my 7 and 9 year girls who like me will try with all they have to get it in the hole while still enjoying the mild mannered and well groomed 885 yard par 27 course .Yeah they don't hit from the regulated area of the tee box but who cares I'm playing with my girls and were having fun and just like me maybe one day they'll remember hanging with the old man at a favorite hole.

Im Back

It's been a while since my last post , being able to actually play golf more left less time to write about it but i will be posting more often now . first of all here's a few things i must declare as news in mrgolfhacks world.... My wife went on a golf outing with her employer and enjoyed it to her surprise ... Walking 18 holes at the durand eastman golf course can be as brutal as the course is beautiful the hilly terrain pulls on your every step but the challenging course is a local legend ... My game has not caught up to my expectations as i spent the first halve of the season trying to push it now it's back to just having fun ... Sergio Garcia's game has not caught up to the publics expectation ... I really like the LPGA especially after seeing the tour up close at locust hill cc in june - Well i appreciate your interest in golf and would love comments and or stories.

CLUB LOVE

The sixth "golf" sense that mystical realm where strange things (just happen) . After our first outing something stuck with Ron his driver was not exactly new as it had been some 7 years since he last touched it , having made a trip earlier in the week to golf galaxy where he tried a new double weighted Taylor made club on the launch monitor. He knew his 250 yard drive could easily be 270 but at 200 $ it just wasn't in the budget. "Enter the sixth "golf" sense" Ron's wife picked up on this disturbance in her newly wed husband and insisted they head for golf galaxy and try a club ,once they arrived he tried a used version from last years T.M. RX5 at 59.99 it was a steal. Week 2 found our trio plying yet again in soggy conditions but at 7 bucks walking or 12 riding who could complain. Ron was fighting to contain his excitement he'd been waiting all week .Then came the moment of truth that first swing in real conditions "cold and damp" and the ball found a home in the woods as it sliced hard and fast,next shot produced the same result .He did make on the fairway eventually and by the 5th hole he was crushing 265 and 270 yards blast . We had a great time and marveled at the fact that for 59.99 he was able to produce 200.$ results.

OOHH THAT SMELL

If you live up north your probably just starting to get out on your favorite golf course. Ahhh go ahead suck it all in ,that smell sweeter than mom's apple pie you,ve been craving for it .On Friday mrgolfhack and my two golf buddie's took the plunge on a wonderfully wet and soggy course "breamar country club rochester n.y." and while my score card was food for the fireplace i was just happy to be hittin some balls and having fun with my friends. My drives off the tee found the fairway in 7 out of 8 holes and this was a first for me ,I'm in my third season as a golfer and have come to realize my best golf days are not always written on paper but just loving the game and the challenge from the course designer and my friends.But after 8 holes it's time to pick up the kids from school and share my happiness with them , tiger said it best family first then golf. Tee it low and swing with control .
